Dominic tattooed by Simeon Huuti, Tahiti

Dominic: I got my first tattoo a little late in life, at age 45. Tattoo's being so commonplace over the past decade or so, I was a firm believer that a tattoo should be extremely personal, representing something truly meaningful to the person.  I was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts and growing up getting a tattoo was actually illegal in most New England states.
Having been fortunate enough to travel to Hawaii for business, and actually having relatives living on the Big Island I fell in love with the islands.  It was in Kona that I got my first tattoo. One for the digital age, as I took a picture of a gecko with my digital camera, blacked it out on my computer, and printed it for the artist who gave it a basic Polynesian flair. An exact replica of a gecko on a wall (including the bug he was after) was now on my back.
